Khehovi unveils Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu ‘heritage foundation stone’

Advisor for Tourism, Art & Culture, Khehovi Yepthomi on Tuesday unveiled Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) “heritage foundation stone” during a programme at S. Hetoyi village.
In a press release, WSBAK informed that Khehovi in his speech talked about the importance of “traditional lifestyle” and how people should preserve biodiversity in their communities.
The program was chaired by secretary DoME WSBAK, Rev. Tovishe Sema, WSBAK executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema dedicated the foundation stone, WSH president, Shikaho Zhimomi delivered greetings, vote of thanks was proposed by WSBAK Council president, Er. Ahoto Sema and closing prayer was said by Rev. Dr. Khetoshe Aye.
The programme was attended WSBAK members, WSBAK CLF members and well-wishers.
Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema in a press release said that late Shiqhevi and late Ghonito evangelist started a fellowship for the Western Sümi called “Christian Endeavor” at Sakipheto school, which was situated at H. Khehoyi village and was now presently resided by S. Hetoyi village.
The reverend said the formation of Christian Endeavor in 1947 led to the establishment of WSBAK marking this year as the year of WSBAK platinum jubilee.
Rev. Phughoto also informed that the WSBAK heritage site land measuring 9.13 acre was donated by S. Hetoyi village and H. Khehoyi village.
