Livelihood project launched in Mokokchung

Livelihood project under LADP Common Pool 2021-2022 was launched at Forest Complex, Marepkong ward, under Mokokchung district on Monday.
According to a DIPR report, deputy commissioner (DC) Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh in his speech, said the project was a sustainable initiative for livelihood generation.
He advised the farmers to follow scientific management while rearing chickens and wished them success in their projects.
In the first phase, 3,000 chicks were distributed to 30 farmers from the 26, 27 and 28 assembly segments.
At the programme, welcome address was delivered by district project officer (DPO) Mokokchung, Imlikokba Longkumer and a brief guide on the project management was given by divisional forest officer (DFO) Mokokchung, Dr. Sentitula.
It may be mentioned that the project is an initiative of DPDB Mokokchung 2021-2022 with its activities breeding and distribution of 10,000 14-day old broiler chicks to selected farmers (50% self-help group) of 10 assembly constituencies under Mokokchung district.
