Make scholarship nodal cell functional: ANCSU to State govt

All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has reiterated its appeal to the state government to make the scholarship nodal cell fully functional without any further delay.
In a memorandum addressed to the state chief secretary, ANCSU president Toito D Chishi and general secretary Tenyesinlo Bukh stated that the students were hopeful when government notified the common scholarship portal. However, they lamented that streamlining all kinds of scholarship schemes scattered in various departments was yet to brought under one cell. ANCSU maintained that common scholarship nodal cell being constituted “only in the paper” and not in the department “clearly” indicated the negligence of the state government to deliver justice for the student community.
Expressing its discontentment, ANCSU has cautioned that the union would not remain silent when the government turned a blind eye to the welfare of the students.
The union has, therefore, appealed to the government to take up the matter on priority and pay heed to the genuine demand of students by making the nodal cell fully functional.
