Meetings held for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, I-Day

In view of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign and Independence Day celebration, district and sub-division administrations held meetings on August 2.
The “Har Ghar Tiranga”campaign under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” is being organised by Ministry of Culture to encourage people to bring the National Flag home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.
In Dimapur, deputy commissioner (DC) Sachin Jaiswal convened the meeting under Dimapur district in the conference hall of the DC Dimapur.
According to a DIPR report, while stating that peoples’ participation was required for the campaign, DC urged upon the civil societies for disseminating the message.
He informed all concerned to collecting requisite number of flags as per requirement from the office of the DC Dimapur and pointed out that everyone had the “right to hoist the national flag”.
He reminded all of proper disposal privately in a proper space after August 15 to “show gesture of respect to our national flag”.
Further, DC informed that selfie booths would be set up in the office of DC and CP Dimapur and district hospital Dimapur.
He informed that one could upload a selfie of the households with national flag which may be uploaded on the website of Har Ghar Tiranga.
Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry secretary, Chandu Agarwal volunteered to set up selfie booths at City Tower, Plaza point, Marwari Patti and Hongkong market to commemorate the occasion.
In another meeting held on the same day, DC Dimapur directed HoDs to ensure compulsory attendance of all the staff till Group D employees during the Independence Day celebration.
At the meeting, work distribution was also assigned to different departments.
Commissioner Police Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo informed that parade practice would commence from August 8 and final rehearsal will take place on the August 13.
Zunheboto: In Zunheboto, the meeting was held at the Town Hall, Zunheboto wherein Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali highlighted the gathering on the campaign.
According to DIPR report, the meeting was attended by all HoDs, ADCs from all headquarters, 32 Assam Rifles, 8th NAP battalion, Naltoqa, 111 battalion BSF, civil societies, BDOs from all blocks, church leaders and Town Ward GBs.
Pfutsero: A meeting was held in Pfutsero sub-division under under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pfutsero, Japheth Woch to discuss the ensuing Independence Day celebration and “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
According to DIPR report, ADC Pfutsero informed that as per the directive from the government of India, every household in villages or towns and government offices should host the National flag from August 13-15 as part of “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
Longleng: In view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration, a coordination meeting with all head of departments at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Longleng.
According to DIPR report, the meeting held under the chairmanship of DC Longleng, Dharam Raj decided to conduct mass social work on August 13.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) requested department officials and staff to attend the function positively and to coordinate for the grand and successful conduct of the Independence Day celebration.
