Mindtree Foundation donates 10 computers to GHSS Noklak

Superintendent of police (SP), Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur inaugurated a computer lab at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Noklak on June 29. According to SP Noklak Dr. Pritpal Kaur, students were made to understand the importance of technical education, use and misuse of technology and cases of cybercrime.
As students were the backbone of a society, she urged upon them to avoid drugs and other intoxicants, and rather focus on empowering the society through education.
Meanwhile, GHSS principal, Kongkhao asked the students to work hard and have a fruitful life while KTC president Thangou in his speech said students should know basic knowledge of computers as it was important, especially for jobs and entrance exams.
At the programme, KMH president Newkhai said it was the responsibility of all, especially the students, to make education the most important step towards empowerment.
Later, KSU president Sangchiu asked society members and students to understand the value of global village and importance of technology and education.
The programme was chaired by VP GHSS Noklak, Mucho, invocation was offered by WS KBCA, Chongtei, vote of thanks was proposed by TRPO president Hangthing while benediction was offered by Police Baptist Fellowship Church chaplain Mano.
It may be mentioned that the computer lab consisting of 10 computer sets was donated to the school by Noklak police in coordination with Karnataka’s Mindtree Foundation. A telescope and microscope were also provided for the science museum department of the school.
