Miscreants fire gunshots at houses of three retired Indian Army personnel in Mnp

Houses of three retired Indian Army personnel in Manipur’s Imphal East district were under attack with gunshots and stones on Friday.
Officials said that the armed miscreants opened fired several rounds of gunshots at the houses in the wee hours, around 2 am and also pelted stones towards the houses.
No casualty was reported in the firing by armed miscreants at the three houses all placed in a row at Keirao Makting Awang Leikai under Irilbung police station of Imphal East district.
The houses under attack belonged to Md Ibrahim, Md Lambu and Md Salim, all retired Army personnel. Policemen who rushed to the houses in the morning found various bullet marks on the gates of the houses and other properties. The windshield of an auto rickshaw parked at the front yard of one of the houses were also shattered.
Family members of the houses said that after the miscreants fired several rounds of guns and pelted stones, they left the place.
Family members said last night’s incident was not the first time, informing the police that there was an instance of attack on the house of retired Army personnel Md Ibrahim and his son, retired Navy personnel Md Suraj Khan.
The Irilbung police registered a case after conducting spot enquiry for further investigation into the incident.
No one took responsibility for the attack till the time of filing this report.
