Mishra meets NSCN (I-M) leaders at Hebron

Government of India’s representative for Naga talks, AK Mishra and NSCN (I-M)’s chief negotiator and general secretary Th Muivah Tuesday held a closed-door “informal meeting” at the Headquarters of the NSCN (I-M), CHQ Hebron.
Confirming this to Nagaland Post, a senior NSCN (I-M) functionary said that this was the first time that Government of India’s representative for Naga talks held a meeting with the group at CHQ. Mishra also met NSCN (I-M) chairman Q. Tuccu, vice-chairman Tongmeth Wangnao and other senior NSCN (I-M) leaders. The meeting with the NSCN leaders, which lasted for around two hours, was positive and fruitful, the functionary said.
Later in the afternoon, Mishra held a closed-door meeting with NSCN/GPRN (K) president Niki Sumi, ato kilonser Starson Lamkang and others at Police complex Chümoukedima. In the evening, the former special director also met chief minister Neiphiu Rio at Police complex.
Mishra is scheduled to meet the WC, NNPGs on Thursday and NSCN (I-M) on Friday and Saturday. Sources said that the meeting with the Core Committee on Naga Issue is likely to be held this weekend.
