Mkg DPDB meeting held

Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting for July was held on July 21 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung office with DC and vice DPDB Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh as the chairperson,
According to a DIPR report, the board while reviewing the minutes of the last DPDB meeting concluded that the problem of poor network/service (BSNL Telecom) in Mokokchung was because of lack of maintenance at the micro station due to a land dispute. The matter was resolved with a new MoU signed with DC as witness.
A committee was set up for the translation of the Nagaland Village Council Act, 1978 document to the local dialect and directed to submit report by September 2022. The board also decided to constitute a water task force.
Reporting on covid-19 status in Mokokchung, H&FW department at present there were two active cases and the overall vaccination headcount in the district was 90% first dose and 80% second dose.
The board recommended the opening of Kids Ark Academy at Alichen, Longkhum village; Valley View Academy at Longlilenden ward, Tuli; and recognition of Green Hills Academy at Chuchuyimlang with the up-gradation of classes from class-7 to class-10.The board also verified and recommended the societies for registration.
On the proposal for construction of the health sub-center at New Yaongyimti village, the board directed the village council to take up the issue with concerned authorities in the state government.
The DC also urged all the members to maintain no single-use plastic zones in their respective office premises to make a cleaner Mokokchung district.
