Monthly DPDB meetings held in three districts

Kiphire, Peren and Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) monthly meetings for the month of February were held Tuesday, in the Conference Hall of its respective Deputy Commissioners (DCs).
According to a DIPR report, Kiphire DPDB members after lengthy deliberation decided to recommend the proposal for upgradation of Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Longmatra and Sitimi to Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) Headquarters to the higher authority.
The meeting under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman DPDB, T. Wati Aier also discussed and approved the proposal for registration of Longmatra Area Students Union and recommended the same for necessary action.
At the meeting, PowerPoint presentations were given by four departments – PHE, Agri, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, MGN Fello Sukanyas and PIRAMAL SWASTHYA.
The DC also directed Cooperation department and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship department to present PowerPoint presentation in the next DPDB meeting.
Earlier, four new members were introduced to the board members.
In view of the governor’s arrival, the DC informed all the heads of offices to reach DC Office compound by 10:20 a.m. and further gave necessary directives and guidelines for the programme.
Peren: Peren DPDB meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.
According to a DIPR report, in the meeting, the proposal for extension of date for celebration of Peren District Jubilee programme was put forward by ADC Peren and the board agreed to defer the same to the month of October/November (tentatively).
Further, ADC Peren also appealed to all the heads of offices to come forward, extend full support and organise departmental programmes as part of the pre-celebration.
DDMA Peren DPA, Kedigong informed the house that mock exercises on earthquake would be conducted on February 17-18 at Jalukie as preparedness measure to response to emergencies. In this regard, the DC called for active participation from all the members.
During the meeting, president of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) also gave a short presentation on behalf of the PWDs, Peren and the house welcomed the new members. For the next DPDB meeting, PWD (R&B) was entrusted to give PowerPoint presentation on their departmental activities.
Longleng: Longleng DPDB held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Longleng, D. Robin on Tuesday, in the conference hall of the DC.
According to a DIPR report, ADC Longleng exhorted the members to attend the planning board meeting regularly and share their views and problems for an effective and positive outcome.
He said that active participation and healthy discussion from members in the meeting would bear positive outcome and contribute to the growth and development of the district.
Senior SP Longleng, H. Kuhovi Sema stated that the police force was constantly active in combating drugs trafficking while providing safe traffic regulations in the district.
He urged upon the members to extend their cooperation and support to the police force.
SP informed that unless the people extended their cooperation and support to the police force, police alone could not solve the issues.
In this regard, he appealed to citizens of the district to come forward for a consolidated effort.
During the meeting, Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, Longleng and Soil & Water Conservation department presented their respective activities through PowerPoint presentation.
Meanwhile in the next meeting, the department of Sericulture was asked to present its activities.
