MoS H&FW minister visits Manipur


Union minister of state for health and family welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar on Tuesday paid a visit to aspirational Chandel district.
Being one of the 112 aspirational districts listed by Niti Aayog, various developmental schemes in all sectors, including healthcare, were being taken up in the district by the Centre.
The Union minister who arrived at Imphal on Monday on her two-day visit in the state, was accompanied by state health and family welfare minister Dr S Ranjan Singh during the visit. The team reviewed the health schemes of the central government.
A ministerial team visited the Chandel district headquarters and held a meeting with district administration, DLO and health project partners at the conference hall at the DC office.
During the meeting, different primary and subsidiary health related issues were discussed.
Later, the ministerial team paid inspected different departments and wards of district hospital.
The Union minister also interacted with doctors, nurses, technicians and other staff members of the hospital. A tree plantation program was also organized in the hospital campus as a part of the visit.
Talking to the media, Dr Bharati said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has introduced many health care and welfare schemes for the people.
The government aimed to bring a high-quality health care system in the country.
Chandel district, being the only selected aspirational district in the state, will have the required infrastructures soon, she assured.
The Union minister said that she had instructed concerned officials and stakeholders to work sincerely for bringing a new change in the district.
State health and family welfare minister, Dr S Ranjan said that the vision of the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi for digitization of the health care system will be successfully achieved.
“All possible help will be extended to achieve the goal for a quality health care system from the state government side,” he assured.
