NBCC to hold prayer walk for children on June 26

As Nagaland celebrates 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland, the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Christian education department would be organizing a prayer walk for children to “herald the year of God’s favour upon our land” on June 26, 2022 at 2 p.m.
In a press release, NBCC Christian education secretary Bideno Kikon informed that the Children from age 6-15, wearing at least one traditional attire, would participate in the prayer walk. Christian education department has informed that Children would gather at their respective church, pray together and proceed to a designated place in the town and village and conduct a concerted prayer fellowship.

In big towns like Kohima and Dimapur, two-three points for converging would be identified. Towns and district headquarters churches have been asked to coordinate and organise the prayer walk where all the churches within their jurisdiction could participate.
Churches have been requested to prepare light refreshment for the children so they herald the 150 years of Christianity, they would also celebrate together.
Church leaders have been urged to follow the children to encourage them and pray for them.

Some of the prayer points include: Pray for forgiveness of our sins and the sins of our state; pray for the Sesquicentennial Celebration of NBCC from November 19-20, 2022; pray for all the children for they are the future. Besides the general prayer points, the organizers have been asked to add more.
