Nagaland for peace and harmony concert held

The much awaited “Nagaland for peace and harmony” concert was held here Saturday, at DDSC stadium, Golaghat road, Dimapur.
Hundreds of people of all ages thronged to witness the concert organised by Dimapur Ao youth organisation (DAYO) in commemoration of its 10th year and Tsungremmong festival.
‘Coloured Keys’ entralled the audience opening the show while headliners, ‘M-Sonic’ a fusion sufi/rock/bolly band caught the attention of the audience with their presentation. Various artists- Samuel Konyak, Vinika Yepthomi, Projection Crew, DGP Band and the Mahila Band performed at the concert. At the show, invocation prayer was proposed by FNR, convenor Rev. Dr. Wati Aier.
DAYO president, Tia Longchar while delivering welcome address said that during the time of pandemic, we have witnessed unity and diversity amongst each other.
“Let us continue to uphold to do so that we continue to live in peace and harmony” he said. He also requested all to seek for peace and harmony assuring that Dimapur Ao youth organisation will continue to uphold the motto “Unity and Justice” not only for the Ao community but for everyone in general.
Further, results for painting and online poetry slam competition organised by DAYO in collaboration with Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Dimapur (ASUD) were also announced.
