Nagaland Governor, CM, DyCM extend Tsungremong festival greetings

Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi has extended Tsungremong greetings to the Ao community and people of Nagaland.
In a message, the governor recalled that Tsungremong was traditionally celebrated to reinforce the bond of brotherhood and unity, adding that it was also a time of thanksgiving to God for a bountiful harvest.
He termed this centuries-old tradition as a priceless cultural heritage of the Ao community.
Mukhi urged members of the community, especially the youth, to imbibe and propagate the values of brotherhood inherent in the festival.
On the auspicious occasion, he wished everyone good health, happiness and prosperity.
CM: State chief minister Neiphiu Rio, in a tweet, extended Tsüngremmong greetings to the Ao community.
“May God continue to bless our lands and fields which provides for us with abundance of crops. May the essence of the festival be alive and foster love and oneness,” Rio tweeted.
DyCM: Deputy chief minister Y. Patton in his greetings to the Ao community said Tsüngremmong was not just a festival, but a source of building unity. And in unity lies the strength of the people, he added.
On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton conveyed festive greetings and hoped that it is celebrated with joy and happiness.
