Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee welcomes CCoNPI resolutions on Naga issue

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has welcomed the resolutions adopted at the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue meeting on July 16 which “had finally given recognition” to the two official agreements between Government of India and Naga national workers – the Framework Agreement with NSCN (I-M) and the Agreed Position with Working Committee of NNPGs.
NPCC president K Therie said this was also a reaffirmation of the October 31, 2019 announcement of talks having been officially concluded. He congratulated all the 60 legislators for finally realising and being able to assert their position.
With the “people’s government” finally endorsing the two official agreements and the official conclusion of talks, he stressed that there was no longer any reason for the Centre to delay implementation of the solution. Therie said the ball was now in the Centre’s court for implementing solution for the already-concluded talks. He said it now only required political will on the part of the BJP-led Central government which was committed by BJP national general secretary (NE) Ram Madhav in 2018 “Election for Solution”.
