Nagaland state BJP kicks off 16-day ‘Seva Pakhwada’

Nagaland state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) began the 16-day “Seva Pakhwara” programme to mark prime minister Narendra Modi’s 72nd birthday celebration on Saturday. During the fortnight, party workers will render services in various activities including blood donation, organising free health camps, equipment for handicapped persons, vaccination drives, etc.
Minority morcha: Members of minority morcha BJP Nagaland organised a blood donation camp at District Hospital, Dimapur.
In a press release, Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland media cell stated that morcha president Deep Kumar led the donors along with other office bearers of the state & district units.
A total of 30 units were donated by the party members.
BJYM Nagaland: BJYM Nagaland along with the rest of the nation organised blood donation camps across the state in the districts of Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung which are being overseen by the respective BJYM Nagaland district units.
In a press release, state BJYM general secretary, Imnaningkum Longkumer stated that this unique initiative was being done in close coordination with the ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
On the first day, Dimapur District Hospital saw a total of 26 donors while Mokokchung registered a total of 16 donors.
BJYM karyakartas across the country have also been asked to adopt at least one TB patient as part of “TB Mukt Bharat” for a period of at least one year as the nation seeks to eliminate TB by 2025, Imnaningkum informed.
BJYM Nagaland informed that the blood donation camps will culminate on October 2.
In this regard, interested donors have been requested to contribute towards the noble cause.
