Nagaland University Krishi Vigyan Kendra Zunheboto conducts input distribution programme

An input distribution programme under the project Tribal Community Development was conducted by Nagaland University (NU) Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Zunheboto on June 17 at Lotsu Village under Sanis Block and Renthan Village under Bhandari block in Wokha district.
A press release by NU KVK Zunheboto stated that at Lotsu Village, principal scientist and head/ PI of the project, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia gave an insight of the project and importance of the project with respect to improving productivity of crops and animals.
He also spoke on selection of right crops, its importance in its present context, cluster approach, storage methodology and selection of right farm implements to reduce drudgery among farming community. Chief guest, NU registrar, Dr. Abemo spoke on the importance of such programs and asked farmers to adopt new technologies which would help them to increase productivity of crops leading to increase in their income. At Renthan village, PI of the project gave an insight of the programme and importance of farm implements in improving productivity and reducing labour cost.
