Namri Nchang inaugurates upgraded Tening GHSS

Advisor for water resources, Namri Nchang on February 4, inaugurated the newly upgraded Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Tening.
According to a DIPR report, addressing the gathering at the inaugural programme, Namri expressed gratitude to all the government officers, civil society organisations (CSOs) and public leaders present for the support and active participation.
He said that it was a remarkable achievement for people of Tening area.
The advisor acknowledged the state government, advisor, school education, K.T. Sukhalu and director school education for their support in upgrading Tening GHS to Tening GHSS.
Namri also lauded the people of Tening for placing trust on him and said that because of them, various developmental works could be taken up.
Further, he urged upon the gathering to strive forward together to achieve greater success in the coming days. In his speech, deputy commissioner (DC) Peren, Sentiwapang Aier pointed out that public support was important for development to take place and urged upon the teaching faculty and other government departments to render service for the welfare of the society.
Meanwhile, director, school education, Wonthungo Tsopoe stated that the biggest development in life was educating children.
In this regard, he advised the teaching staff to rededicate themselves in the field of teaching.
Wonthungo also assured to provide all possible help once the schools begin functioning effectively and normally.
Short speeches were also delivered by Tening block chairman union president, Pelenkeng, Mbaulwa chairman, Namlia and president BJP, Peren district, Huzantadbo.
The advisor was accompanied by director and deputy director, school education, officials from district administration, police and others.
Earlier, Town Baptist Church Tening pastor, Rev. Kamwang Rentta said the dedicatory prayer while dedication was done by the advisor and “traditional howling” was presented by Tening village council.
The inaugural programme was chaired by EAC Tening, Tumben. P. Tsanglao, traditional folk tune was presented by Tening Students Union, special song by Bamile Pame and vote of thanks was proposed by ADC Tening, Rhosietho Nguori.
