NSCN/GPRN (K) celebrates Republic Day

NSCN/GPRN (Khango/Isak) observed the 43rd Republic Day-cum-joint consultative meeting with the senior party workers and army officers at its ceasefire office, 3rd mile, Dimapur.
In a press release, MIP of the group stated that the meeting was held under the leadership of ato kilonser col. (retd) Isak Sumi on the theme, “current political scenario”.
In his speech, Isak enlightened the gathering on the progress of the Indo-Naga peace process and stated that interlocution state was over and dialogue had been completed since October 31, 2019.
He said that ball was now in the court of GOI and that whole of the Nagas were ready and prepared to accept the solution as envisioned in the draft agreement “agreed position” signed between the GOI and NNPG and Nagas as whole on November 17, 2017. He therefore urged all the workers to once again recommit and rededicate to God and stand true to the commitment “Nagaland for Christ” in spirit and action.
Earlier, the programme chaired by chief secretary GPRN, Vikheho Assumi began with an invocation by jt.secy, Tiatemsu following by flag hoisting by Isak Sumi.
A one minute silent prayer in remembrance and honour the martyrs and departed comrades was also observed.
