OHCC fetes national teachers’ award winner Mimi Yhoushü

Officer’s Hill Colony Council (OHCC) organised a felicitation programme in honour of National Teacher Award winner 2022, Mimi Yhoushü, at Panchayat hall, here, on Thursday.
Mimi Yhoushü was conferred with “National Awards to Teachers 2022” on September 5, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day by president Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi.
Speaking at the programme, head teacher, Government Middle School (GMS), Officer’s Hill, Mimi Yhoushü said despite several challenges and difficulties, she won the award by sheer motivation.
The head teacher dedicated the award to her students, teachers and family for being her backbone and support system.
Mimi Yhoushü also assured to provide an amount of Rs. 5,000 to meritorious students who get distinction in both subjects in class VIII board examination.
All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) president Kasheto Sumi acknowledged the national award recipient for her sincerity and dedication.
Kasheto described her as a role model to teachers and the society.
Expressing gratitude to all the teachers, OHCC general secretary Alemwapang Imsong said teachers were guiding light for students.
The felicitation programme was chaired by SMC chairman Azho Sophie, invocation was offered by Razhoukhrieu Vire and tribute to Mimi Yhoushü was also presented by Nihoje, followed by special number from Khunyu and vote of thanks by Catherine.
It may be mentioned that Mimi Yhoshü was selected for her contribution towards the school from providing mid-day meals, using recycled plastic bottles to building walls and providing other services.
