Pinnacle Skills Kma observe cultural day


Pinnacle Skills Kohima organised a cultural day to commemorate its 10th anniversary at LCS building, here on Thursday.
In a speech, centre manager, Arenla Kitho said as a social institution, it was important for the institution to stay updated with the trends and at the same time, preserve the root and origin of people.
She pointed out that culture was the reflection of a community or nation which makes it a vital determining factor on how a community reacts, respond and grows.
Arenla urged upon the trainees to cherish their culture and said one could learn their own tradition through elders or first-hand expeience.
She pointed out the importance of speaking in one’s language since many were on the brink of extinction.
During the programme, different batches of trainees presented special numbers and cultural items.
The programme was chaired by Keaveiru Christy while Alemjila Chang offered invocation.
Mego Khawakhrie delivered welcome address, vote of thanks was proposed by Nyiya Kath and Soment Naro offered the benediction.
It may be mentioned that Pinnacle Skills was started in 2012 and is a partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) working under the aegis of the ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
It has been working on focus areas including skill development, capacity building, online trainings and social responsibility.
