POSHAN-A staff to boycott all activities from today

One day after their appeal to the state government to release eight-month salary, the POSHAN employees of all the districts and blocks have decided to boycott the remaining all POSHAN Maah activities with effect from September 16, 2022 till the pending salaries were released.
In a letter addressed to the project director POSHAN Abhiyan, department of social welfare, the district coordinators said that the concerned authorities have been “superficial”. They said that no positive or reassuring steps have been adopted by the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) office to address the issue even after several meetings and memorandums.
The signatories said that the employees were resorting to boycott due to non-payment of POSHAN employees remuneration/salary for the past seven months (from February 2022 till date).
According to the signatories, SPMU informed that the Centre has not released fund to Nagaland state since 2021.
They also said that SPMU has failed to grant the allowances (TA) due to employees for previous POSHAN pakhwada activities (announced via video conferencing).
Further, the signatories said that SPMU has failed to disburse the salary even after giving the verbal assurance to release the salary on time.
The signatories have, therefore, appealed to the PD to intervene and address the issue.
