Railway Protection Force rescues 7, including minors, in last 3 days

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N. F. Railway (NFR) successfully rescued 07 persons, including minors, during routine checking at different trains and railway stations over N. F. Railway from February 7 to 9.
The Railway Protection Force also rescued 40 individuals during the month of January. The rescued persons were later handed over to their respective parents or guardians, Childline/NGO and GRP for their safe custody and further course of action.
A press release by Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Sabyasachi De stated that on February 9, CIB (Crime Intelligence Branch) team of RPF, Guwahati rescued two runaway minor boys aged about 15 years and 14 years during checking at Guwahati railway station.
The rescued boys were later handed over to Railway Childline, Guwahati for safe custody and further course of action.
On February 8, RPF team of Kamakhya post rescued one runaway minor girl and a boy aged about 17 years and 28 years respectively during routine checking at Kamakhya railway station and later handed them over to IC/GRP/Kamakhya in presence of their parents.
In another incident on the same day, a team of RPF staff of Katihar (East) post, rescued one runaway minor girl aged about 15 years at Katihar railway station.
The rescued girl was handed over to Railway Childline. On the same day, RPF personnel of Guwahati rescued one runaway minor boy aged about 7 years during routine checking at Guwahati railway station. The boy was later handed over to Railway Childline, Guwahati for safe custody and further course of action.
On February 7, RPF of Hasimara, during routine checking in train No. 07542 UP (Dhubri – Siliguri Intercity special) rescued a runaway minor girl aged about 15 years at Hasimara railway station and handed her over to Railway Child Line, Alipurduar Junction for safe custody and further course of action.
