Rotary Club, Dimapur in association with blood bank, district hospital (DH), Dimapur, and Inner Wheel Club, Dimapur on July 3 organised a blood donation camp at Rotary centre, Midland, Dimapur.
In a press release, club media cell informed that camp was organised to supplement local blood bank supplies and also to create awareness among blood donors.
In his inaugural address, physician and active Rotarian Dr. D. R. Sharma spoke about myths connected with blood donation and stated that blood donation was good for health for an able donor.
Meanwhile, blood bank in-charge, DH Dimapur, Dr. T. Temsu, highlighted on benefits of blood donation.
Speaking at the occasion, Rotarian Manish Jain appealed to all able bodied persons not to fear while donating blood reassuring the professionalism of the paramedical staff.
At the end of the donation camp, project chairman, Rotarian Nikhil Jain informed that a total of 27 units were collected.
Later, club secretary, Rotarian Prashant Agarwal thanked Dr. Temsu, blood bank paramedics, donors, Inner Wheel members, and all club members for a successful blood donation camp.
