Salary demand: ANHTU unit serves ultimatum

All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) Kohima unit Wednesday served an ultimatum on the department of school education to release pending salary (from November 2021 till February 2022) within one week.
In a press release, All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union Kohima unit general secretary Nelson Yhokha cautioned that the department’s failure to release the pending salary within stipulated period, the teachers would have no other option but to go for agitation, adding that the department would be held solely responsible if any unwanted situation arose.
ANHTU Kohima unit claimed that despite allotment of fund by the finance department on February 22, 2022, the Hindi teachers appointed during 2012-15 have not been paid.
It reminded the department that the teachers depend solely on their salary for their livelihood and daily needs.
