Seminar for cluster artisans concludes

A two-day seminar for cluster artisans organised under Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana (AHVY) by NWVTI Handicraft and Handloom Producers Pvt.Ltd at Lerie, Kohima concluded on May 12.
A press release by NWVTI stated that the seminar sponsored by the office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, government of India was inaugurated by economic & statistical officer, Kohima, Imlitemjen.
At the seminar, Sr. assistant director HSC Kohima, T. Rollee Vareishim highlighted the participants on various schemes under development commissioner (handicrafts) while HSC Kohima handicraft promotion officer, Rajib Chandra Roy spoke on the GeM portal for the artisans.
The resource persons highlighted various topics like production of durable and marketable products, treatment of raw materials and finished products, importance of GST for handicraft sectors, mudra loan for artisans, production of utility products for export, creation of logo and brand. The seminar was attended by artisans from all over Nagaland.
