State BJP observes 42nd foundation day

DIMAPUR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state unit observed 42nd foundation day of the party at state BJP head office in Kohima.
On the occasion, State BJP president and minister, Temjen Imna Along, minister Kashiho Sangtam and party karyakartas including state office bearers, morcha presidents, cells convenors, officials of the state morchas and others attended the virtual programme where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the partymen.
Later addressing the party workers, Along reminded all that the BJP was strong cadre based organization, which abides and work under the directives of the Central party leadership.
He also urged the party workers to reach out to the grassroots and highlight about the party’s goals, ideologies and objectives.
“As we commemorate the SthapnaDiwas, I urge all the karyakartas to work sincerely and diligently to fulfill the ideologies of Bharatiya Janata Party,” Along said in a tweet.
Along with other units, Dimapur and Mokokchung units also observed the foundation day at their respective party offices.
In Dimapur, district BJP members organised a flag hoisting programme at its office, Super Market to mark the 42nd foundation day.
Mokokchung: BJP Mokokchung unit observed the foundation day at its party office where speech of prime minister, Narendra Modi was screened live and appointments to important party offices were made by district president, Imolemba Jamir.
In a press release, BJP Mokokchung district secretary Tiarenla informed that the BJP leaders and workers – district office, Mandal, Morcha and cells listened to the speech of prime minister which was screened live at the conference hall.
Earlier during the day, BJP flag was hoisted by district president at district office while mandal (constituency) and morcha (frontal) presidents hoisted the flag in various parts of the district.
During the programme, the district office inducted Bendangtoshi as vice president and I. Temsu Imchen as general secretary to BJP Mokokchung office.
Meanwhile, BJP 26 Aonglenden Mandal also inducted former NSUI leader Kilemsungba Longkumer as general secretary.
