State BJP president welcomes seat sharing with NDPP for 2023

A day after NDPP and BJP Nagaland announced the same seat sharing formula as in 2018 for the upcoming 2023 Assembly election, State BJP president Temjen Imna Along welcomed the seat-sharing formula– NDPP 40: BJP 20.
In a statement, he expressed gratitude to BJP central leaders led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, party’s national president JP Nadda and party’s national general secretary (Org) BL Santhosh.
Imna asserted that continuation of the alliance’s seat-sharing formula reflected the ruling coalition’s tireless endeavour to provide good governance to the people of Nagaland.
Acknowledging that much work needed to be done Iman said the state party was “encouraged by the visionary leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y. Patton for which the central leadership has once again reposed faith upon our State leaders”.
He said each and every karyakarta and karyakarni welcomed the decision and assured to continue to work tirelessly to strengthen the alliance so that the visionary programmes and policies of the Government of India under Modi and percolated down to each and every citizen in every nook and corner of the State. He also reaffirmed BJP State unit’s commitment to uphold the joint declaration of both the parties with all sincerity. On behalf of the party,Iman also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Shah, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP national spokesperson and prabhari, Nagaland In- charge Nalin Kohli, for reaffirming the pre-poll alliance to jointly contest the forthcoming Assembly election under seat sharing arrangement with NDPP.
He said the party looked forward to scaling greater heights in deliverance of good governance to the people in the days ahead.
