Sukhalu attends education ministers’ conference

State education team led by advisor for School Education and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) K.T Sukhalu attended a two-day school education minister’ conference in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from June 1-2.
In a press release, Samagra Shiksha deputy mission director, Kelhikha Kenye informed that the conference was convened by the ministry of Education to review and discuss the roll out and progress of New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 implementation status, state curriculum framework preparation by states, sharing of strategies for learning recovery after school reopening, foundational literacy and numeracy and Vidhaya Pravesh, etc.
At the conference, the participants were addressed by union minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan while the state of Gujarat also made special presentation to showcase best practices of the state.
Meanwhile, the ministry of Education presented the status on NEP 2020 implementation in the country.
The session also included intensive discussion on various critical aspects on implementation of NEP 2020 by states and union territories.
The advisor was accompanied by commissioner & secretary School Education & SCERT, Kevileno Angami, state mission director Samagra Shiksha, Temsunaro Aier and joint mission director Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, Dr. Kevizakie Rio.
