Thematic Exhibition launched in Dimapur

Chairman, National Empowerment of People through Economic Development (NEPED), Kevechutso Doulo, on June 28 inaugurated Thematic Exhibition at Super Market, Dimapur. Handicraft Promotion Officer (HPO), HSC Kohima, Rajib Chandra Roy, was the guest of honour for the inaugural programme.
Speaking with Nagaland Post after the inaugural programme, Doulo informed that altogether 20 stalls were present in the exhibition, of which three from Assam, two from Manipur and 15 from the state, took part in the exhibition.
He maintained that same type of exhibition was held at Kohima recently, adding that there was participation in Dimapur.
He later added that the exhibition was sponsored by office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, and implemented by NEPED.
Also speaking with member, POU, NEPED, Takum Chang, he stated that the exhibition was organised to provide a platform for artisans to sell their products, which would in turn help sellers to generate income, promote local products, and also allow for creation of buyer-seller network.
He further informed that the exhibition would conclude on July 4.
