TPO welcomes ‘September Joint Accordant’

Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) has welcomed and appreciated the coming together of the leaders of NSCN (I-M) and 7 NNPGs and signing of “September Joint
Accordant” on September 14, 2022 in the presence of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).
In a press release, TPO general secretary Vipopal Kintso and TPO’s board of arbitrators (BOA) convenor Sovenyi stated that at a joint meeting of TPO officials and BOA on September 17, 2022, the members “unanimously welcomed” the move.
TPO said that the re-affirmation “to work together in the spirit of love”, amidst confusion and despair of the Naga public, renewed “our hope to see light at the end of the tunnel.”
TPO has urged the “Naga national leaders” to remain firm and true to the commitments thereby exhibiting that collective aspiration of the Nagas remain foremost and overcome the divisive forces of adversaries with spirit of togetherness.
TPO expressed confidence that “with God on our side” Nagas would reach their destination if sincere effort was given “to work towards a shared Naga future on the foundation of our Historical and Political Rights”.
Further, lauding the role played by FNR, the TPO said that the forum’s tireless efforts to bring about understanding and reconciliation “amongst our people gives us hope.”
In this regard, TPO affirmed to extend fullest support and co-operation to FNR.
TPO also appealed to the Nagas to climb above “our internal differences” and work towards “our larger goal as a people so as to achieve and find our rightful place in this god given world.”
