Training on operation & maintenance of PSA

DIMAPUR: A seven-day onsite training on operation and maintenance of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) medical oxygen generation plant organised by department of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) for the health workers got underway on July 18 at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK).
A press release from the department informed that training was being imparted by superintendent of central workshop, Government Medical College Agartala, Tripura, Er. Sudip Goswami and a total of 29 trainees from all district hospitals and some community health centres (CHCs) are attending the training.
Department of H&FW said due to COVID-19 pandemic the requirement of PSA oxygen plants in all the hospitals was felt and 28 PSA plant was installed across the state.
In view of the required skilled manpower to run the PSA plant, the department said it has started capacity building for operation and maintenance. The department said the training would guide health workers in all health facilities on proper management of equipment.
