Tseminyu DPDB meet discuss development activities

Tseminyu District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting on June 17 discussed developmental activities to be carried out in the newly formed district.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting was held in the official chamber of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tseminyu with advisor, animal husbandry & veterinary services and women resources development and DPDB chairman, R. Khing.
At the meeting, Khing urged officers of the district to give their best to the activities and make necessary proposals that were required for DPDB approval.
He asked the officers to review and update the latest development taken up in their respective departments and to make them available in the office for the public.
Chairing the meeting, DC Tseminyu, Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi while welcomed ADC Tseminyu, Longasen Lotha and EAC Tumben Tsanglao.
The DC reviewed the last meeting minute for the up-gradation of the departments in the district and members discussed the posting of various department officers were discussed.
Stating that without acquiring land, there cannot be development, DC said three rounds of discussions were held with the landowners. The members also discussed creation of a new administrative headquarters in the district and the creation of an EAC post at Tseminyu were also discussed.
Rengma Hoho, president, Pollem Tep and the board resolved to nametag Tseminyu district as “Historical District” as suggested by the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio on the inauguration Day of Tseminyu district.
The Board agreed with SP Tseminyu to avoid speed breakers in NH2 and to maintain drainage within the Town area and NH2.
