A five-day, “Art Residency Program” for TaFMA empanelled visual artists got underway on January 18 at Tuophema Village.
In a press statement, TaFMA project director, Dr.Hovithal Sothu stated that the programme began with a short briefing and words of encouragement from him.
The participants were also taken for a Tuophema village walk under the guidance of tourist guide, Keduo to give the participants in depth experience and knowledge of Tuophema village.
Activities such as – Live painting, Mentorship Classes, Interactive Sessions, Art Camp for School Students, Art Competition for children and Capacity Building Exercises will be conducted during the five days.
The programme will culminate of January 22 with an Art Exhibition at Tuophema village Council Hall.
12 established and upcoming visual artists who are empanelled with Task Force for Music and Arts are attending the programme, the release stated.
