Two-day piano concert & masterclass at GCTC

Correspondent

Golden Crown Theological College (GCTC) in collaboration with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) will be hosting a free Piano Concert and Masterclass on May 23 and 24 at Town Baptist Church, Dimapur.
GCTC music director, Avoni Odyuo informed that two of the instructors will be coming from abroad for the concert and the masterclass.
The instructors include Samuel King from Singapore, Jenny He from China and Albert Kanken Odyuo from Nagaland.
A two-day event would start with a concert on May 23 at 4 p.m. under the theme “Delight in His Glory” which will be followed by a masterclass on Piano the next day from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Avoni disclosed that GCTC envisions to nurture musicians at schools and churches in the State and the region while TaFMA focuses on capacity building of the people therefore through this collaboration the organisers hope to achieve both the goals.
She encouraged every pianist in Dimapur to seize the golden opportunity as it would be a huge learning experience saying it is hard to hire accomplished international pianists, however, in this case they were imparting their knowledge to the people without any costs.
Interested candidates can register for the masterclass via a Google form or visit GCTC’s Facebook page/Instagram gctc crowncentre or send a WhatsApp text at 84150-60894 for more information.
