United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) reiterates on illegal taxation

DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC), the apex body of Sangtam students’ community has reiterated to not entertain any “undue taxation by any individuals, agents and factions against all the developmental activities under education department, medical, road and bridges construction and aspirational funds for development activities under Sangtam jurisdiction.”
A press release by USSC president Samuel B. Sangtam and general secretary Lumpili Sangtam directed contractors and departments to provide work order and Detail Project Report (DPR) to USSC office.
USSC warned that quality of workmanship would not be compromised and that it would initiate its own course of action if anyone was found violating the notification. It also reiterated that all HoDs on transfer with post/attachment without reliever in the department had been banned within Sangtam jurisdiction. It also warned that any irregularities traced by the conference would not be compromised. Further, USSC informed that the directives were necessitated after witnessing “very pathetic quality of works done by the contractors and transfer with post and attachment by the department.”
