Various programmes held at educational institutions

One day workshop on “sensitising and developing a cadre of para-hydrogeologist on spring shed management” was held on August 31 at Phek Government College (PGC).
A press release by the college informed that workshop was organised by National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland in association with GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment, Almora, Uttarakand and sponsored by National Mission on Himalayan Studies.
Resource person, associate professor and project investigator NIT Nagaland, Dr. Amrit Puzari stressed on importance and limits of ions and their impact on human health, water pollutants, etc.
Another resource person, JPF NIT Nagaland, Able G Achumi spoke on “sensitizing and developing a cadre of para hydrogeologist on spring shed management”.
FAC: Department of political science, Fazl Ali College (FAC) Mokokchungorganised a National Commission Women (NCW) initiated workshop under its “Second Innings Movement for Homemakers” on August 30 at the College Conference Hall.
In a press release, FAC stated that the workshop was intended to benefit homemakers so as to prepare them to enter into the market workforce with business skills and knowledge.
At the workshop, YWCA Mokokchung, T. Arenla Ao spoke on the topic, “work from home opportunities” while information scientist, Ochentsungba Ozukum shared on “online business opportunities”.
Other resource persons in the workshop were assistant professor, Dr.NeizhanuoGolmei and assistant professor FAC, Dr.TemjensanglaPongen.
