Western Sumi Youth Front to monitor road works till completion

DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) on Wednesday affirmed to continue to monitor the construction of road from Central Jail-Atu ghoki (Zubza river) till completion.
In a press release, WSYF media cell informed that in this regard a meeting was held with proprietor of M/s. Vipe Enterprise, that was awarded the contract for improvement of road (black-topping) from Central Jail-Atu ghoki (Zubza river).
According to WSYF, the proprietor agreed in principal to strictly adhere to all laid down specifications in DPR—to use quality materials for the work and to start executing work at the earliest. The front urged upon all the villages where stretch of the road fell in their jurisdiction, to cooperate
with contractor and ensure that works were taken up hassle free.
While stating that the road was lifeline for the people of Niuland district, WSYF, however, stated that it was the in an unattended condition for a long time.
In this regard, WSYF assured its cooperation for smooth execution of the road works.
The front also assured that it would deploy volunteers at construction sites if situation arose.
Further, WSYF has reiterated its prohibition on all forms of taxation or donation from individuals, organisations, associations, Naga Political groups etc., against the road improvement.
It warned that “prompt and necessary action” would be taken against anyone found collecting taxes or donation.
