Yangseo graces golden jubilee celebrations in Kiphire

Deputy speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), T. Yangseo Sangtam graced the golden jubilee celebrations of St. Peter’s Church and Loyola Higher Secondary School (LHSS) on June 29 and 30 respectively, in Kiphire.
In a press release, LHSS informed the golden jubilee celebration at St. Peter’s Church was held with Most Rev Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop, Diocese of Kohima, Nagaland as main celebrant along with priests and religious leaders in the state.
Highlights of the day included eucharistic celebration and procession. Earlier, the leaders also felicitated the Bishop and guests who participated in the event.
Meanwhile, the golden jubilee celebration at LHSS was held with T. Yangseo Sangtam as special guest and Most Rev Dr. James Thoppil as guest of honour.
Addressing the students at the programme, Yangseo spoke on the need to be competitive and to work hard, in order to build the future as leaders of the society.
The school has produced various personalities in diverse fields who are leaders of the society today, he said.
The deputy speaker also opined that the school excelled in scholastic and co-scholastic areas and had made remarkable achievements in the field of education.
In his speech, Most Rev Dr. James Thoppil spoke on the need to promote a society where everyone finds the right place in the society. He explained about the hardships and troubles that the pioneers had taken fifty years ago and the fruit of their labour, which he said, can be seen in the form quality education and commendable results in the board examinations.
Further, he urged upon the people to cooperate with the school management and bring all round development in all aspects.
Earlier, the special guest unveiled the monolith while the Bishop blessed the monolith.
The programme was attended by dignitaries, guests, parents and students.
