YMI-Nagaland chapter launched in Dimapur

The first Y’s Men International Club (YMI) in the North East was formally set up in Dimapur during a charter presentation and programme at Hotel Nagi on July 23.
In a press release, YMIC-Nagaland chapter office informed that the programme was led by regional secretary of YMI, India WHC David while “installing officer” was YMI regional director Roshan John Chirayath.
The district governor of YMI Ranchi, Kunal Sharma was also present at the programme.
The charter of International Association was presented to the Nagaland Chapter president by international president Kim Sang-Chae.
YMIC-Nagaland chapter will be led by Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema as president along with other office bearers.
It may be mentioned that Y’s Men International is an international group of volunteers in support of YMCA established in 1922 in Toledo, Ohio, U.S. and is now headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It was originally founded as a service club to support the work of the World Alliance of YMCAs. Y’s Men International is a world-wide fellowship of persons of all faiths and its mission is to strive through active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to build a better world for all humankind.
