Intl Youth Day observed in Dimapur

On account of International Youth Day (IYD) 2020, Can Youth in collaboration Youth Empowering Space, Bosco Institute, Jorhat organised an online contest for youth in the form of short personal video clips based on the theme “youth engagement for global action” on August 12.

A release by Can Youth chief functionary, Jenpu Rongmei, stated that the aim of the contest was to engage with youths through their participation. 

It was to address issues that prevail among younger generation and how to bring a solution or cope with the issues in order to help them be responsible for a local, national and global change.

Earlier during the online contest, winning prize was bagged by Reeme Deb, IGNOU University and Khrorite Lasuh, Salt College bagged runner ups. Sashikumzuk Longkumer, Greenwood School Alichen and Binita Das, Scottish Church College, Kolkata bagged the Can Youth choice prizes. 

Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates. Altogether 35 participated in the contest.
