KDLSA conducts legal seminar in Kiphire

Kiphire District Legal Service Authority (KDLSA) organised legal seminar in collaboration with the Social Welfare department on November 25 at Kiphire. 

According to DIPR report, panel lawyer Kunyangli Sangtam talked on the topic “Right to Education, Health Schemes and Food Security Act (FSA)”. He informed that under the provision of the bill, beneficiaries of the public distribution system (PDS) were entitled to 5 kilograms per month of cereals. Free and compulsory education to all the children of the age of six to fourteen years in such manner should be practiced in the present society, he added.
CDPO Kiphire, Z. Tsangkhuju Sangtam spoke on the importance of social welfare schemes and to improve the nutrition and health status of children in the age group of 0-6 years, pregnant women and lactating mothers. FOA, DLSA Kiphire, Thsapongla also talked on free legal aid, role of part legal volunteers and fundamental duties and also highlighted the importance of eleven fundamental duties. 
Programme was chaired by P/Asst DLSA Kiphire, Rebica T. Sangtam and PLV, Thsathrise gave welcome note. Altogether 33 participants from eleven wards, and Differently Able Union members attended the programme.
