Khrievitso Kense, 16-year old leg spinner from Nagaland, underwent trials with the Rajasthan Royals at the Royal Academy, Nagapur on Wednesday.

Taking to twitter, Nagaland Cricket Association honorary secretary, Hyunilo Anilo Khing said: “Our young leggie Khrievitso underwent trials for Rajasthan Royals today at the Royal Academy, Nagpur.”

Earlier, reigning Indian Premier League (IPL) champion Mumbai Indians (MI) had shortlisted Khrievitso Kense for trials ahead of the season expected to get underway in April. Khrievitso, a 16-year-old leg spinner, caught everyone’s attention with an impressive show for Nagaland in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Making his debut, the cricket prodigy played four matches and scalped seven-wicket at an average of 12.00. His best figure was against Mizoram where he picked three wickets for 16 runs.

Impressed with his performance, both Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals had invited the 16-year-old spinner for the trials ahead of the IPL 2021 auctions.
