A farewell programme for outgoing additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, SDO (C) Shaying Sheu and EAC Kezocha, Vineikho Tetso was held at DC’s conference hall on March 5, 2021.

According to DIPR report, deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie in his speech thanked the outgoing officers for their efforts and contributions towards the successful management of various activities in the district.

Acknowledging the role played by the outgoing officers in managing and handling number of issues, elections, disasters related matters and towards the fight of COVID-19, DC shared that the office was losing the most capable and refined officers today. 

He further wished them good health and extended his wishes on their new assigned works.

In her farewell speech, the outgoing ADC thanked all for their support and cooperation towards the successful implementation of various activities and for making her stay a successful and memorable one.

She shared that what she had learnt from the DC would be taken wherever she was posted. Lithrongla said that her contribution towards the district may have been a drop of water in the ocean however the experiences gained were enormous.

Outgoing SDO (C), Shaying and EAC Vineikho also delivered farewell speeches where they expressed the privilege of having worked in the state capital under capable and dedicated seniors.

Delivering speech on behalf of the staff of DC Office, Kohima, Rakalung highlighted the qualities and efficiencies held by each outgoing officers and narrated some of the memories.

On the occasion, “Kohima Against COVID-19”, a report on activities undertaken by District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19, Kohima district was launched by DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie and outgoing ADC, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.

Earlier, the farewell programme was chaired by revenue officer, Kelevituo Nisa, invocation by Zakiesato Khatso and special songs by head Dobashis, Lhaliezhu and Ketuoraviü Marina of DC office, Kohima.
