The two arrested persons in Kohima police custody

 Kohima police on April 6 arrested two miscreants impersonating as “national workers” after police received “specific input of extortion”. In a press release, PRO Kohima Police informed that two persons identified as Shakulo Thong (21) son of Zelhoulie Thong of Sendenyu village under Tseminyu and presently residing at Merhülitsa, Kohima and Yaliezo Kuotsu (27) son of late Vitsonyü Kuotsu of Phesama village under Khuzama and presently residing at Middle Midland Colony, Kohima were arrested from Midland Colony after a hot pursuit. PRO said that police swung into action after a “specific input of extortion” from a residence at Upper Chandamr Colony, Kohima by unknown miscreants impersonating as “national workers” was received. Though the residence was cordoned off, PRO said the miscreants had left the area before the arrival of the police team. After ascertaining the description of the two miscreants, PRO said the police team followed their trail and subsequently apprehended the duo. In this connection, PRO said a case has been registered and investigation was on.
