KSCJ, KCK organise mentoring prog

Kohima Science College Jotsoma (KSCJ) and Kohima College Kohima (KCK) jointly organised a programme on “mentoring on NAAC assessment & accreditation” on April 9 at KSCJ.

The programme was chaired by IQAC KCK assistant coordinator, Sungjeminla.

She highlighted the main objective of NAAC which was to assess and accredit universities and institutions of higher learning to generate quality in education by encouraging a proactive quality culture.

As per the directive given to accredited colleges by directorate of higher education, Nagaland, to mentor non-accredited colleges, the programme was jointly organised with mentee colleges: Don Bosco College Kohima; Capital College of Higher Education Kohima; Baptist College Kohima; St. Xavier’s College Jalukie; College of Arts and Technology; Nerhe Phezha and Peren Government College.

Main speaker, IQAC KSCJ coordinator, Dr. Seyiekhrielie Whiso gave a talk on the seven criteria and key aspects. He highlighted all the important indicators while also sharing the experiences of the college and helpful tips.

IQAC DBCK coordinator, Jarani Mao talked on “process of assessment (our journey)” followed by Q&A.

Earlier, vote of thanks was proposed by IQAC KCK assistant coordinator, Dr. Konei Nakhro.

The programme ended with a visit to various facilities of the college.
