Land issue: WSYF cautions

DIMAPUR | Publish Date: 3/11/2021 1:47:33 PM IST

Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF), with approval of the Western Sumi Hoho, warned of stern action against any individual/party trying to create communal disharmony, mistrust or religious animosity in connection with the land dispute (Patta no 157/589, Dag no 203, Block no 6, Mouza: 1, related to Jama Mazjid) at MP Road, Dimapur.

In a statement, WSYF claimed that it received a “complaint from a certain party requesting intervention over the land dispute wherein the other party had approached the Court of law and also subsequently approached certain Naga national organizations for resolving the case thereby creating possibility of communal and religious animosity.”
Asserting that WSYF was ever ready to play the role of a neutral facilitator upon requests, dedicating itself towards amicably resolving any issue, the front however noted that the present case was already in the Court of law. Since the matter has been placed before the Court, WSYF urged all parties, individuals, organizations involved to maintain status quo and await the decision of the Court.
It also urged those running from pillar to post, trying to drag in different Naga national organizations despite the matter being in the Court, “to stop their misadventure and allow the law to take its own course and conclusion failing which they will be dealt with firmly by the WSYF and WSH.”
