LMLC organizes trg on nutri-sensitive agriculture

Life Ministry Learning Centre (LMLC) in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur organized a one-day hands-on training for 20 women farmers from Naga United Village, Dimapur on September 14. 

A press release by LMLC Naga United Village, Dimapur, stated that the LMLC director Samuel Therieh, explained the vision of LMLC which looks forward to everyone living through their own hard labor. He also explained that the 20 participants will be established as a group to work together and grow food in their own garden. 

Sr. scientist and head, KVK Dimapur, Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, spoke about the importance of smart farming and as India observes September as Poshan Abhiyan month. She encouraged the mothers to maintain a proper nutritious diet for the family and emphasized on the importance on growing their own nutritional garden in their backyard.

CTO, Home Sc, V. Kenny Rhetso spoke about the importance of various fruits and vegetables found in the area and demonstrated food preservation methods. 

A detailed theoretical and practical demonstration on nutri-garden was given by farm manager KVK Dimapur, Imliakum Pongen. Women farmers were provided with seeds and IEM solution to start their own nutri-garden.
