LRD inspects PMKSY-WDC projects

As part of its state-wide tour to execute an impact assessment of all the activities implemented under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana-Watershed Development Component-(PMKSY-WDC), senior officials of the directorate of Land Resources Department (LRD), Kohima toured Dimapur district on April 16.

A press release by LRD Dimapur office informed that the officials led by director LRD T. Renben Lotha visited AAK Industrial (PMKSY-WDC 10, Batch VI) and Lhothavi village (PMKSY-WDC 4, Batch II) under Dhansiripar Block of Dimapur district. In his address, Lotha acknowledged the efforts and cooperation shown by the village watershed committees during the entire project tenure. 

He urged the village members to continue displaying the same level of faith shown towards the department and carry forward with such exemplary performance in the future. Though PMKSY-WDC programme had officially come to a close, Lotha said the villages should not consider this as the end but rather view it as a fresh start for establishing more fruitful ventures together. 

The release informed that department would soon be implementing its new generation of PMKSY project by this year. 

District Project Officer (DPO) Dimapur, I. Acato Chishi acknowledged the officers for their continuous support which contributed to the overall success of the project implementation in the district.

A feedback on the overall district performance was given by state project coordinator, LRD, Inatoli Chishi and vote of thanks by deputy director, LRD and supervisory officer for Dimapur district, Puvil Kikhi. 

He was accompanied by C. Vanchamo Ngullie (Joint Director, LRD),Hekato N. (Dy. director, LRD), Puvil Kikhi (Dy. Director LRD & Supervisory Officer for Dimapur district), Inatoli Chishi (State Project Coordinator, LRD), staff from LRD State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA), I. Acato Chishi (DPO LRD Dimapur) and staff.
