Extending support to the ultimatum served upon state government by NSF and ENSF, the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has appealed government for immediate response towards the genuine issue of SSA & RMSA teachers.

In a press release, the LSU president Ashanthung Humtsoe and general secretary, Pithungo Shitio questioned the sincerity of the concerned department and state government as to “how could the outmost priority in the education sector could not be implemented when the agreement has been made in principle but ignored for nearly two years.” Pointing out that agreement was made between the department of School Education and NSSATA on June 12, 2018 in the presence of ENSF & NSF leaders, the LSU also urged the state government to implement the decision taken in principle at the cabinet meeting held on October 3, 2018 to bring all the teachers of 2010 & 2013 batches into the mainstream of school education cadre.
KSU: Khiamniungan Students Union (KSU) in a press release by president P. Hatho and general secretary, Puthai Lamhing asked the state government to honour “the gentlemen agreement in-toto to implement the agreed point so as to deliver justice and equity to the teaching community.” Union also appealed the teaching community to diligently serve the students’ community keeping aside all grievances. Union further resolved to stand along with the NSF & ENSF till the demand was delivered by the state government.
