M’laya RTI activists seeks info on wedding revelers, COVID-19

An RTI activist on Wednesday sought the list of all positive COVID- 19 patients detected along with their addresses and locations in Meghalaya.

RTI activist Curtis Rani sought the total amount collected from violators for violation of the Regulation of the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases COVID-19 Regulation.
 “In case of the above-asked information is held by or related to another public authority, you are requested to transfer the application or such part of it as may be appropriate to that other public authority with an intimation to the undersigned (Section 6(3) of Right to Information Act, 2005),” Rani wrote to the Public Information Officer, Deputy Director of Health Services (MI), Meghalaya.
He also sought information regarding the magisterial inquiry reports both from Ri-Bhoi and East Khasi Hills Districts on the COVID-19 protocol violation by the wedding party candidates, submitted to the government.
Further, Rani also sought information about the names of all the 41 attendees of the wedding party at Greenwood Resort, Khanapara, Assam and the action taken against them besides copies of all car pass applications for inter-state movement that were approved by the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District.
